Battersea Power Station has had a monumental presence on the London skyline since its arrival on the London skyline in the 1930’s. At first its arrival was met with protest, many feared that such a massive industrial structure would ruin the landscape. However, over time it has cemented its place as a much loved iconic structure. One of the worlds largest brick buildings and beloved Art Deco style.

Today the Power Station has entered its most exciting chapter. This artwork celebrates its amazing rejuvenation. The history of the building preserved alongside contemporary design, a fantastic juxtaposition.

This print is a loose line wash watercolour study, a technique that captures the energy and movement without being weighed down by strict architectural lines. This is the first of a two-part collection, while this piece focusses on atmosphere, the second piece will offer a highly detailed technical depiction, a true representation of Max Kerly Artworks style.
